The interest rate is 18% which is rediculous. It is the same rate that I had when I got the card at 18 years old, and I've made every payment on time. I am 24 now. I have no bad marks on my credit. Shouldn't I be able to lower my interest rate and get out of the freaking student interest rate? Thanks!

I've heard you can ask for a lower interest rate and sometimes they'll give it to you, but is the same true for a higher credit limit?

My guess is I never carried balances and they weren't making money off me. But i think its not fair for them to charge me the fee and cancel my card right afterwards. What can I do??
          they sent me a letter in november saying they are cancelling my card effective december! I was so mad.
          ASPIRE visa!! one of those horrible places that give anyone a card with crappy credit just so you can re-establish yourself. I re-established my credit like 4 years ago and stopped using the card, i would only use it for little purchases because the interest rate was 30%
