I know FICO scores range from 330 to 830, but does any one know what the scale is? What is scores constitute Excelent, Good, Average, Fair, and Poor? I know that a score above 760 is excelent, and anything below 600 is poor, but what is the scale for the scores inbetween?

Or, if it helps you, my socres are between 670 and 708. Where am I?

I just got my Equifax score online then came across information about FICO scores. Are they the same thing?

I already know it's bad. What I need is info on how many credit score points it takes off. Also, if you buy a second car before the repo and pay it on time, will that help offset the repo? A buddy is in a really bad car loan with an aging car and walking away from the loan is probably his only shot at getting out from under it anytime soon. People have told him to walk away from the bad loan and start fresh and keep the rest of his credit squeaky clean and he'll be okay.

I recently purchased 9 books about how to raise your credit score and have recently paid off some student loans and credit cards...I have one student loan remaining and one small credit card balance...The ones I paid off were outstanding as far as being overdue...I want to know about how much my credit score adjusts with the payment of these debts after about 3 months once my credit reports reflect this...
