Nice! Except, I went through a divorce and my credit is now lowsy. I pay all my bills on time and have a decent job, yet credit card companies don't give me the time of day. Does anyone know of a company that will work with a credit slacker like me?

Call me super paranoid, but I think it wouldn't be that hard for anyone to figure out my mom's maiden name and steal my identity and whatnot.

Would this be a big deal, and does anyone else think this is a good idea?

ok so my friend has a bank of america credit card that is helping him building up credit, he wants to add her husband to the account so that he can also get a credit car because he doesnt have one and he needs to build credit. Is this a good idea for her to add him to the account? would he get a credit history also? would he get offers of new credit cards if he is linked to hers? or should he get a separate account?

My company is closing here in California next May and I will be relocating to Austin in either mid-Aprl or May 1st of next year. I have been with my company for 23 years and am looking for a 4-6 month rental until I purchase a home. My current credit score is fair-good due in part to a divorce a couple of years back. As I have never rented an apartment before, always a home, I am not familiar with the credit requirements, I have heard they are very stringent. If I would not qualify, any advice you might have to offer would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently going through a divorce and one of the main reasons I am divorcing my soon to be ex is that he has ruined me financially. My house is foreclosing and I need to find an apartment between Dighton, Ma and Bridgewater, Ma. Here's my problem. My credit since I have been married is terrible. I am very dependable and have been at the same job for almost 8 years. I can provide personal and professional references and pay a few months rent in advance if need be. What can I do? People with bad credit have to live somewhere, right? Help.. I don't want to end up homeless. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Lets say that I used my Visa credit card to purchase something online. Does the bank phone me about my purchase or mails a receipt? Or they call or something else?

I've never ordered anything online before.

Being sold an ATM machine for placement in a bar in Tarrant County, Texas. Seller is telling me that there is legislation against bars or restaurants selling alcoholic beverages being allowed to offer credit card/ debit card customers cash back. Stating that as the reason I must have ATM instead of programming credit card/ debit card machine to allow cash back.

Ok, past credit messed me up. I have a judgement thats almost paid off. I am trying to raise my credit score.I have 3 new accounts that I've paid on time for over 1 year. I read that one way to raise your score is to " piggy back" on a relatives good credit ( have them add me to one of their good accounts and not use it) Is this safe, is it legal. I would love to hear constructive ways to increase my credit score. Please don't judge me. Almost all of my " bad" credit accounts have been paid off. I put my sons first when the divorce came. They lived in the house that I paid for while I lived in a basement.

If you used to have perfect credit but have made some late payments following a move, job loss, deaths in family or health care crisis, erroneous charges or other fraud on accounts, or other life-changing events, is there a credit card offering a good APR introductory rate who isn't going to consider you "high risk" and take advantage of your current situation to change you from the best rate to the worst? Is there anything where your money does some good like "working assets" that hasn't been swallowed up by B of A or MBNA? Does a credit score of about 650 mean you should be paying the worst APR rate?
