I know that canceling an open card can adversely affect credit. But I canceled the actual application process, minutes after I applied.

I had hoped to get instant approval to get a big discount on an airline ticket, but as a student and my little income they would have had to do a full background credit check (which would have gotten me the card), but I didn't have time to wait to buy the ticket, so I wanted to cancel.

I know in Feb. 2010 a credit card act will restrict anyone under 21 for a credit card unless they have a co-signer. If I already have a credit card, then would this act still apply to me?

Can you really buy a car with bad or poor credit? I see theses ads all the time on TV. They say even with repossessions, bad credit or bankruptcy they can finance you with very liitle down. They guarantee no only accepting your credit application now but approving it. How does this process work? Is this really possible?

We have payed our bills down to the 30% mark, and hoping to buy a house really soon but our credit score has to go up in order to get prequalified. My hubbys fico score was at 620 but then lowered due to trying to refinance our car, now were trying to get it to go back up again.

Were hoping to make it higher before the end of April.
So how long does it take to rise? it took four months for it to drop from 620 to 590.
